CERTIFICATION WELDING COORDINATOR

The welding school RINAS by Filippo Centineo, in collaboration with TUV AUSTRIA ITALIA, organizes training course for Welding Coordinator Basic/Specialist Levels, in compliance with the regulations UNI EN ISO14731:2019.

The course will be oriented towards training the professional figure of the Welding Coordinator who deals with the coordination of manufacturing operations in which there are welding activities and activities related to welding in accordance with the Standard

UNI EN ISO 14731:2019.

Depending on the level chosen, adequate knowledge will be provided on the processing of steels from groups 1 to 11 according to the ISO 15608 standard and on their behavior during welding. Furthermore, both technical and methodological aspects of the main arc welding processes will be explored in depth.

The courses will be held by technicians with many years of experience as Welding Coordinators, authorized by TUV AUSTRIA ITALIA, in accordance with the

UNI EN ISO 14731.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE ARE:

Deepen all the activities and tasks assigned to the Welding Coordinator in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14731, including the correct management of processes relating to "Welding management systems UNI EN ISO 3834".

Illustrate the recent directives established by the European Regulation No. 305/2011 and by the UNI EN 1090-1 and UNI EN ISO 3834 standards.

It should be noted that the course is aimed at preparing for the exam to obtain the qualification of Welding Coordinator, for execution classes EXC2 and EXC3 (limited to some materials and welding thicknesses) as specified in points 7.4.3 of EN 1090- 2 and point 6.1 of EN ISO 14731.

RECIPIENTS OF COURSE

Welding inspectors and coordinators, designers, testers of welded products and freelancers who operate in accordance with UNI EN ISO 3834 and/or EN 1090.

DURATION

The course has a total duration of 40 hours, divided into two modules 2 days (16 hours) and 3 days (24 hours).

General principles of welding;
Welding responsibility;
Principles of Metallurgy;
Various types of steels and their designation;
Applicable regulations;
Graphic representation of welds on construction drawings;
Welding processes;
Welding defects and acceptability criteria in accordance with ISO 5817;
Non-destructive checks on welds;
Check applicability of WPS (Welding Specification) with respect to project requirements;
Practical WPS drafting exercise;
Welding process qualification (WPQR);
Welder qualification (WPQ);
Requirements required by the UNI EN ISO 3834 and EN 1090 standards;
Drafting and management of a Manufacturing and Control Plan (FPC).
